Abstract. After the first world war corporatism began to claim the role of the “third” path of social development. In the 1920–1930s in some European countries an attempt was made to implement a corporatist ideas. They are most fully embodied in fascist Italy. In subsequent decades, corporatism was associated with the economic and managerial practices of fascism and some other right-wing political regimes. Today, corporatism is the basis of life in a number of countries
