Long-time Tendencies, Contemporary Situation and Perspectives of Russian Economy

The article is devoted to analyze the causes and the character of the economic crisis in modern Russia. The authors are sure that this crisis has some deep historical origins, connected with the process of the human capital degradation as a result of wars and emigration waves, which took place in the 20th — beginning of the 21st century. This fact explains why the contemporary crisis has not conjectural but systematic character. The ways to meet the crisis are proposed. The authors discuss the three possible scenarios: the optimistic, the inertial and the pessimistic ones
