THE ‘BEIJING CONSENSUS’ DOESN’T ACTUALLY EXIST
When Professor John Williamson created the term ‘Washington Consensus’ in the early 1990s, he mainly referred to ten doctrines, among which are the free market, minimal state regulation, minimal governmental interference, the free flow of capital, fiscal discipline, etc. To sum up his ideas, ‘let the market do its job’.

RUSSIA NEEDS ANOTHER WORLD ORDER
The Washington Consensus had already taken shape by the time of the collapse of the USSR, when the USSR had not begun to decay physically but had already disappeared as an alternative: it wanted to be like everyone else. Back then, a certain system of values emerged that stood as a kind of ‘ideal structure,’ that only a ‘madman’ would venture to argue against.
