MORE PEOPLE WITH IDEAS
The Yaroslavl Forum cannot compete with the Davos forum, for example, due to the fact that it is a conference that is organised by the Russian establishment and because it doesn’t have nearly comparable resources. Hence, the Yaroslavl Forum should take a different approach, namely to offer a platform for new challenging ideas, including non-mainstream ideas. |

DEBATE — INSTEAD OF PREPREPARED PAPERS
At the previous Yaroslavl Forum, the content of the sessions is adequate according to their title. However, the session on global and regional security should not be primarily focused on NATO. The concept of enhanced security or soft security, which is much more important in Europe and has been enacted by the European Union, was completely underdeveloped in this session |
