The View from an Island: Jamaica
Imagine yourself 10,000 years ago, when the earth started warming after the last ice age, on an island in higher tropical latitudes, such as Jamaica. Without the benefit of thermometers and tidal gauges, you would probably not have perceived the gradual rise in temperature or sea level.
